Our Commitment to Conscious Sourcing

One of our top priorities at Tahoe Mind Body Spirit, and You Are Magic Designs is ensuring our customers are able to shop for crystals without unknowingly supporting harmful and unethical mines and mining conditions. We work hard to take the time to ensure our crystals are consciously sourced, and are found by miners with safe work conditions and fair pay, and we are constantly checking, researching, and reaching out to sellers to make sure we are sourcing from as ethical and best of sellers as possible.

With that being said, you may be wondering “what does consciously sourced mean?” and, “What is the difference between consciously sourced and ethically sourced?”

If you’re an affluent crystal shopper or if you’re just beginning your crystal collecting journey, then you may have seen the term “ethically sourced crystals” when pursuing through different crystal sites and shops. And while we would love to say that our crystals are 100% ethically sourced, the only way we could ever give you that 100% guarantee is if we were to go to each country we source from, and thoroughly inspect the process/conditions/and environments, and that's unfortunately not an option for our small business.

That's one of the reasons we like to use the term “Consciously sourced crystals,” because while we may not be able to fly across the world to inspect where our crystals come from, we are always searching, researching, and communicating one-on-one with our sellers to ensure that we are sourcing/buying as ethically as possible to ensure that the crystals you all buy from our shop are as ethically sourced as possible.

Conscious Sourcing is a part of our mission to make crystals accessible while still prioritizing protecting the safeties of miners and our ecosystems and environments.
